No. Hoosier Homes is for a primary residence only — you must occupy the home within 60 days of closing. Investment properties and second homes do not qualify.
Hoosier Homes down payment assistance is reserved for buyers who will live in the home. The geography and property-type rules sit on top of that occupancy requirement — a rental in a participating county still will not reserve.
Forgiveness over seven years is also tied to remaining in the home as your primary residence. Using the aid for a vacation home or buy-and-hold rental would break both the occupancy intent and the program purpose.
