No. Hoosier Homes does not require first-time homebuyer status — repeat buyers can use the program when they meet credit, income, property, and loan-type guidelines.
Many Indiana DPA programs are reserved for first-time buyers. Hoosier Homes is different: first-time homebuyer status is not required . If you sold a previous home, moved for work, or are buying again after renting, you can still pursue Hoosier Homes assistance.
You still need an eligible first mortgage (FHA, VA, USDA, or HFA conventional 30-year fixed), a primary residence in a participating county, and to clear credit, DTI, and income screens. The home must be occupied within 60 days of closing.
